What is the best haircut for women with smaller heads?

I am 23 years old so i don't want something too old looking, but i have had long hair my whole life. People tell me i shouldn't cut my hair short because i have such a small head but i need a change. can you help? What is the best haircut for women with smaller heads?
Long hair frames the body; short hair frames the head. So if you have short hair, you will seem bottom heavy. If you are very skinny, you might get away with it - like a waif and stray. Otherwise it will just make your head seem smaller and your body even bigger.

If you have straight hair especially, short hair is a no-no unless you are anorexic. Curly hair puffs out when it is shorter, so you may get away with it, but it will never be as beautiful as when it is long, and I fear you may miss it, and regret the years it will take to bring it back.

To get to 23 without cutting your hair short is wonderful, since so many girls wreck their hair in their teens, pushed by their friends into ';cute'; styles that are really designed to guarantee repeat business for salons.

Probably better would be to try to curl it or wave it, to give more volume, without a major haircut. Try also arranging it differently. If you normally have it loose, try a half-up, half down up do, or scrunching, or French plaits (braids) or putting your parting in a different place. Also look at your wardrobe, and find something outrageously different. What is the best haircut for women with smaller heads?
A cute bob haircut. It would be perfect for your face!

I know you don't want to look like nicole richey but the hairstyle is super cute!
i would recommend the hayley williams cut. (:
Something short enough that you can get alot alot of volume. It kind of depends on your hair type what length you should go.
You might look cute with a pixie cut. I know thats super short, but hey hair grows back, have fun with it.
