Would a haircut take off the damaged tips to your hair?

I was planning to get a haircut soon but, I don't know what to get! I was planning on getting some high layers and getting a trim and some weight off my hair. My reasoning is because last year and the year before I started to straighten my hair with out the heat protectors. So, I was thinking why couldn't I just get high layers to get the unhealthy destroyed ends out of my hair! But, will it work?Would a haircut take off the damaged tips to your hair?
Yes, which is why hair specialists recommend you trim your hair about a half an inch every month or so to maintain dead ends and stimulate hair growth.

If your hair is particularily damaged you could also consider getting a deep conditioning treatment in a salon and purchasing some ultra smoothing products and leave-in conditioning hair masks from your local pharmacy, and always remember to use hair serums and other similar products to protect your hair before using flat irons, curling irons, crimpers, etc. It is very important in maintaining healthy hair. And, try not to use them very often.

A trick I use when I straighten my hair is to buy a silk pillow and sleep with my hair in a loose ponytail, and then touch up using Frieda products in the morning, as opposed to using heat irons everyday. The extra oil in your hair is essential sometimes.

Hope this helped.Would a haircut take off the damaged tips to your hair?
it will deffinately work! i am growing my hair back out and i have horrible split and dead ends! once you cut off your dead ends, your hair will grow twice as fast and be healthier and fuller.
Yeah, totally. If you cut off the dead ends you will see a complete difference in the health of your hair.
yep! the split ends get cut.

you'll love layers.
